2021 Theme: “I Love Piedmont”
Young Artists — Compete in this year’s Founder’s Day Art Contest and Show us what you love about Piedmont! You may choose to portray buildings, businesses, landscapes, or a historical scene. You may include people and animals in your artwork.
Mediums Allowed:
● Paint
● Drawing Materials (pencil, charcoal, colored chalk, pastels, oil pastels, colored pencils, markers, etc.)
● Collage Materials (cut and glued items including construction paper, tissue paper, wrapping paper, aluminum foil, etc.)
Rules:
1. Complete the Entry Form below.
2. The completed form MUST be printed and attached to the back of the art.
3. Artwork must be ready-to-hang and no larger than 11” x 14”.
4. One entry per child.
5. Drop-Off artwork to the Piedmont Library during library hours between August 31st and September 9th.
6. Non-Winning Entries MUST be picked up no later than 2 PM on Founder’s Day OR from the library on Tuesday, September 14, from 10 am – 6 pm.
Judging:
● Artwork will be judged on Creativity and Relevance to Theme on Friday, September 10, 2021.
Top 3 Winners from Each Age Group will be awarded PRIZES and have their artwork on display in the library for one month!
Age Categories:
● 4 – 6 year-olds
● 7 – 10 year-olds
● 11 – 14 year-olds
● 15 – 18 year-olds
